Musing Mondays

musingmondays51 (2)Musing Mondays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading, with a series of questions to kick-start discussions about reading habits. Anyone can join in. These are the questions:

  • Describe one of your reading habits.
  • Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
  • What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!
  • Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.
  • Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
  • Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!

I chose the third question for today. The “What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!”

Ladies and gentlemen sit down and relax because this will be a post about a book I’m dying to get my hands on.

I think I’m still too new for you guys to know who my favorite authors are. That’s why I’m just going to go ahead and tell you. I have A LOT of favorite authors. One for each category actually. But one of my top five authors is the one and only Jennifer L. Armentrout. You who’ve read a book she has written know exactly what i talk about.  The way that woman writes about the boys in her books is just MINDBLOWING! Every book she has published is down right amazing, but one in particular is Obsidian. I will soon do a review about that book but that’s a different story. Now to the book I’m desperate about.

*DRUMROLL*

OBSESSION by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

This book was also in the friday finds list… even though I “found” it a looong time ago.

I want to buy it so desperatly but I already bought books for all my book money. The stupid library where I live doesn’t have it…

Now to the question why I want to read it. First of all, LOOK AT THE COVER! Really look at it. Doesn’t it look like a book that promises trouble? Like a book that will leave you thinking about it long after you’ve read it? I most definitly think so! The best part is, it plays out in the same world as Obsidian. I love that world.  Now look at the boy on the cover. That’s Hunter! Ahh Hunter *drools a liitle bit* Leave it to Jennifer to make you fall hopelessly in love with a book carachter… I read an excerpt and God was it exciting! It’s to long to post it here so here’s the link: http://www.jenniferarmentrout.com/obsessiontease/

This is what is says on the back:

He’s arrogant, domineering, and… To. Die. For.

Hunter is a ruthless killer. And the Department of Defense has him firmly in their grasp, which usually doesn’t chafe too badly because he gets to kill bad guys. Most of the time he enjoys his job. That is, until he’s saddled with something he’s never had to do before: protect a human from his mortal enemy.

Serena Cross didn’t believe her best friend when she claimed to have seen the son of a powerful senator turn into something…unnatural. Who would? But then she witnesses her friend’s murder at the hands of what can only be an alien, thrusting her into a world that will kill to protect their secret.

Hunter stirs Serena’s temper and her lust despite their differences. Soon he’s doing the unthinkable—breaking the rules he’s lived by, going against the government to keep Serena safe. But are the aliens and the government the biggest threats to Serena’s life…or is it Hunter?

Told ya! If somebody out there is doing a giveaway or something with this book, you know who to tell. Me!
